A new proclamation coming straight from the telecom operator, Vodafone UK, states that it will sell handsets from March 9 for as little as £30 per month. It is going to be a yearly contract.

This offer will cover 600 minutes, unlimited texts and mobile Internet with a usage capacity of 500 Mega Bytes.

These handsets were launched by Vodafone along with its T-Mobile during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, earlier this month.

The 8.1 megapixel camera-enabled phones take photos of high quality and have the ability to capture videos in 720p high definition mode giving a crystal-clarity image, at even 4x digital zoom.

Ofcom's idea to pull down various broadband companies, with hardcore evidence against their speeds, gained weight when it signed a contract with the broadband monitoring company- SamKnows.

SamKnows expects volunteers to come up with the data which will provide exact speed of the broadband services.

British Library is going to come up with a national web archive. It would be called UK Web Archive and will be able to store close to 220TB of data every year.

The project was officially started by Culture Minister Margaret Hodge on Wednesday.

The objective of the project is to collect and store data from all the free access websites available in the UK.

The project has been designed and developed by National Archives, the National Libraries of Scotland and Wales, Jisc and the Wellcome Library. IBM is going to be the technology partner.

Iceland is facing a tough economic stipulation. Now there is a huge concern over its repayment of a $5 billion bailout loan. The talks between Iceland and the Treasury over the issue ended without any result as the Government in Reykjavik also insisted that the proposed interest bill was too tedious.

But the Icelandic Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir is hoping to reach a solution to the ongoing talk. She believes that the deal is still open for a short term.
