Researchers in France have found that men, who want to ask women on a date, increase their odds if a love ballad is playing in the background.

According to the reports, Nicolas Gueguen and Celine Jacob of the Universite de Bretagne-Sud, along with Lubomir Lamy of Universite de Paris-Sud, set up a study in which 87 young women each spent time in a waiting room with background music playing either a love ballad or a neutral tune.

U. S. researchers have found that not only should people avoid food shopping when hungry, they should also avoid it after a heavy workout or an intense day.

Researchers have said that a U.S. study shows that although military veterans have access to lethal drugs, 70 percent who commit suicide use a weapon.

According to the reports, the study examined risk factors for suicide based on method of attempt among 5,000 Veterans Affairs patients with substance use disorders.

U.S. researchers have said that the anecdotal notion that more young children are killed during the winter months, or winter holidays, has been debunked.

It has been reported that study leader Dr. Antoinette Laskey, an associate professor of pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and colleagues analyzed death certificate data from Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Oklahoma and Washington.

Published online ahead of the July print issue of The Journal of Pediatrics, the study found children to be equally at risk of homicide death during any month of the year.
