New Delhi: The Supreme Court (SC) shall give its decision on whether or not banking institutions can charge a prepayment fee from customers who repay loans before the completion of the tenure.

Japan: The prices of Microsoft Xbox 360 may remain the same in Japan. Microsoft’s subsidiary in Japan has ruled out any price cuts for the video game consoles in near future. The sales of Xbox have been lower, but the company expects things to change with upcoming launch of Halo 3 this month.

Takashi Sensui, Chief of the home and entertainment division at Microsoft informed that the prices may remain firm in near future despite low response in Japanese markets.

The finance ministry has announced exemption for exporters from services taxes by ports, railways and road transport. Many exporters have been hit badly due to recent downtrend in US dollar. The rupee value has appreciated recently and has hit the net profits of many companies.

The statement issued by Finance Ministry said, "Government has issued a notification providing refund of service tax paid by exporters on four taxable services, which are not in the nature of input services but could be linked to export goods."
