Ford to expand its footprint in Thailand

Ford Working under the One Ford strategy, the slowdown has certainly been a very good lesson for Ford as the company is now relying mostly on the best cost countries to make sure that it is able to stay afloat in the global marketplace.

In fact, the auto major has recently said that it will invest a whopping amount of $450 million in Thailand, with a view to build a new manufacturing plant, with the bulk of the output destined for export markets.

The company also mentioned that the plant will be used to cater to the expansion made in the APAC region in the past few years.

Landline providers give a price cut due to pressure

Ofcom, BTThe landline telephone services providers will be offering a price cut in case of the major connections, following the pressure mounted by the telecommunications regulator, Ofcom.

It is stated that the prices will drop from £33 to just £2 in cases. It follows from the price cut that is termed as the "early termination" which is charged by up to 85 percent.

According to an Ofcom statement, "We very much welcome the reductions made by BT, TalkTalk and Virgin Media, which means that consumers will face much lower charges if they wish to end their contracts early."

GoogleCLGoogle has come up with the latest command line tool for some of its services for its Open Source Blog.

The tool comes in the form of GoogleCL which essentially is a command-line utility that provides access to various Google services.

It helps in syncing tasks that pertain to posting blogs on a Blogger's blog, adding events to Calendar, or editing documents on Google Docs.  

As the industry experts claim, it is more of a pure Python application that uses the Python data libraries to make Google Data API calls from the command line.
