Hollywood queen Angelina Jolie has disclosed the reason behind refusing to play the role of ‘Bond Girl’ in Casino Royale. Well, the Mr and Mrs Smith star was more interested to play the 007 spy rather than playing his girl.

In 2005, Jolie was considered to play the ‘Bond Girl’ in the Daniel Craig starrer Bond movie, with whom she worked in the movie Tomb Raider.

Recalling a meeting with the co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Amy Pascal, the 35 year old star said, “In that lovely chat, I conveyed them that I would prefer to play Bond. At that time, it was not possible for me to play the ‘Bond Girl’ as I was pregnant. The idea playing a spy, remained in Amy’s mind and she called me later and said, ‘I think I have found it’.”

A Gangtok based rocked band ‘Girish ‘n the Chronicles’, has become the first Indian band to compete in Suncane Skale a music festival in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The festival is celebrated every year during the summer.

The five member band, which is now in New Delhi, will participate in this three day festival, starting on 7th July 2010. They are preparing for the prestigious competition and clearing the visa and other travel formalities.

It has now come to light that art movie director Priyanandanan would be debuting as an actor in the movie ‘Thoramazhayathu’. It has also been revealed that he always had secretly desired to act in a movie and now his ‘desire’ is about to become real. The movie ‘Thoramazhayathu’ is being directed by Priyanandanan’s assistant Harihardas.
