Balaji Telefilms Q1 net profit down by 67% to Rs 2.93 crore

Balaji-TelefilmsLeading media firm Balaji Telefilms has declared its Q1 financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 2.93 crore for this quarter. 

The net profit of the firm was reported to be Rs 8.97 crore for the same quarter last year. Hence there has been a decline of 67% in the net profit figure this time against last year's record.

So far as the net sales of the firm are concerned, it has declined to Rs 30.70 crore during the April-June period of fiscal year 2010. It has Rs 39.72 crore for the same quarter last year.

Rallis Q1 net profit surges by 58%

Rallis-IndiaRallis India has declared its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010.As per the report it has managed to register an impressive net profit rise of 58%.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 14.8 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010.

The company has reported a net profit of Rs 9.4 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. This net profit figure has grown up by a significant 58% in this quarter as compared to the same quarter in the last fiscal.

Company's Marketing Head Tarun Khanna recently said that the company is weighing options of exporting its cars, namely, Palio, Linea and Punto in SAARC countries including Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Bajaj moves to CKD production at Indonesia

While the company had been operating under the semi knocked down mode for quite some time now, the recent move will attract lower Customs duties for the two-wheeler major. It is to be mentioned here that the subsidiary in the Indonesia region was incorporated in 2006-07 with an issued and subscribed capital of $ 12.5 million (Rs 56 crore).
