Audi gaining substantial ground in ChinaThe German luxury car maker has recently said that Audi is striving hard to meet the rising demand for its product in the Chinese market. In fact, the chairman of the company Rupert Stadler recently said that the Chinese market could become its main market this year ahead of Germany.

Stadler also mentioned the fact that even after expanding its capacity regularly, the company has not been able to meet the rising demand of the consumers.

Bajaj Auto Q1 net surges over two-fold to Rs 590 crore

Bajaj-AutoThe second largest two- wheeler maker of the country, Bajaj Auto has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. According to the report, it has registered a significant two fold net profit rise.

Bajaj Auto has posted a net profit of Rs 590.15 crore for the quarter that ended in 30th June, 2010 which is almost doubled of the net profit figure of the similar quarter in the last fiscal. The company has registered a net profit of Rs 293.49 crore in the same quarter in the previous year.

TRAI to recommend linking 2G and 3G services, soon

J S SarmaOn Friday, the telecom regulator, TRAI said that it is going recommend of linking the one-time extra charge for holding extra 2G with the prices of 3G within the next two-three weeks time.

As of now, the operators are expected to pay an extra fee if they are holding 2G spectrum more than they require.

TRAI said that it is recommending the linking since it wants to make the telecom service sector a more level playing ground for the players.

DRL posts steady profit increase in Q1

DRL posts steady profit increase in Q1India's second largest drug company, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (DRL) has said that it has seen a steady growth in profit which grew by 7.5 per cent during the first quarter ending June 30. In money terms it meant that profit has gone up from Rs227 crore to Rs. 244 crore as compared to the last year. This was said in filing submitted to the National Stock Exchange.
