There was a lot of speculation made on the deal between Centaur Hotel and Oberoi realty. It has been recently revealed that the deal has been called off by the two and the reason for the same is believed to be the dispute that the two parties seemed to get in regarding the clauses of the same.

The deal was a much awaited and hyped one and there were all eyes set on each move of these firms. In a startling turn of events, the two firms called off the deal in a press conference and said that it might not be considered again for a long time to come.

The commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland’s net profit declines by 30%, amounting to Rs 86.25 crore, with the increase in the price of raw materials, and other financial expenditures. The company sold around 19,277 vehicles resulting in a fall in the sales by 6.3%, amounting to 2,495.51 crore from April to June 2012.

The Bombay Stock Exchange showed HDFC bank at a growth by 33.7% in the revenue amounting to Rs 1,085 crore, in the first three months of the financial year up to June 2011. The total profit earned by June 2010, amounted to Rs 811 crore.

The income generated by the bank by the end of June 2011, increased to an amount of Rs 7,098 crore, which was 5,410 crore in the same period last year, an increase of 31.2%. The balance sheet of this year grew by 22.6%, amounting to Rs 2, 85,942 crore at the end of June.

The request of NHS for blood donation was heard by thousands of people. It has been revealed that on the very first day of donation campaign, about 20,000 people turn up to donate blood. However, a total of 100,000 people made their contribution by donating blood.
