Healthy Body Restricts Alzheimer
A recent study has found that the chances of developing Alzheimer’s disease are minimal among those who take extra care of their health. The findings of the study have revealed that up to seven conditions are favorable for Alzheimer disease.
Around the globe, about 35 million people are diagnosed with Alzheimer disease. Out of them, 50% of Alzheimer’s patients suffer from high blood pressure, obesity and lack of exercise. Alzheimer’s is a disease which targets brain cells and is incurable.
The findings of the study were presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in France, on Tuesday. William Thies, the association's chief scientific officer said that preventive measures can reduces the chances of being contracted with the mental disease.
Although, the study postulates that by keeping healthy one can avoid contracting incurable disease, majorly low education triggers Alzheimer among people. It is believed that low education can lead to many mental disorders. Moreover, poor nutrition diet can also impair one’s mental ability. And the case could be worse in the old age as brain stops to develop.
It is expected that by 2050, the cases of Alzheimer disease will reach 106 million worldwide. Dr Anne Corbett, Research Manager of the Alzheimer's Society said, “… if more of us ate our five fruit and veg a day, regularly cycled, ran or swam, and cut out cigarettes then we could massively reduce the hold Alzheimer’s has on us”.
