A new study by researchers from McGill University and the University of British Columbia has revealed that just like humans, mice too express pain through facial expressions.

When subjected to moderate pain stimuli, mice showed discomfort through facial expressions in the same way humans do, McGill Psychology Prof. Jeffrey Mogil, UBC Psychology Prof. Kenneth Craig and their respective teams have discovered.

The study also details the development of a Mouse Grimace Scale that could inform better treatments for humans and improve conditions for lab animals.

According to reports, a team of engineers has developed software that can transform blurry photographs into clear pictures.

Computer vision engineer Neel Joshi at the University of California, San Diego, and his colleagues studied home photo collections and saw that many pictures of faces were blurry.

The New Scientist quoted him as saying, "Precious moments were often lost due to blur induced by camera shake and poor lighting."

The team then came up with software to solve that problem.

Copper settled higher on support from a weaker U.S. dollar. The metal also got some spillover support from strong gains in gold and silver. Copper tends to rise when the dollar falls because as the dollar-denominated metal becomes less expensive for buyers using other currencies. Copper has touched a low of Rs 316.85 a kg after opening at Rs 317.6, and last traded at Rs317.5.For today market is looking for the support at 317, a break below could see a test of 316.4 and where as resistance is now likely to be seen at 317.9, a move above could see prices testing 318.3.
