Surfers want Jonathan Ross sacked over ‘sex with 80-year-old’ joke

Jonathan RossLondon, January 27 : Hundreds of appalled surfers want to see Jonathan Ross sacked over his sick joke about sex with an 80-year-old woman on his Radio 2 comeback show.

The BBC radio presenter had landed himself in trouble yet again after he returned to work from his three-month suspension.

Ross was suspended for his part in a radio-prank call to 78-year-old Andrew Sachs, which saw him passing lewd comments while RJ Russell Brand spoke of his prior sexual relationship with the actor's granddaughter.

And in his first radio show since the scandal, the 6-million-pound prankster managed to incur the wrath of listeners again when he suggested producer Andy Davies to sleep with an elderly woman for "charity" sake, and let her have "one last night before the grave".

Since the joke, angry protesters have flooded Jon Mountfort's online campaign, sackross. org. uk, urging BBC chiefs to axe the 48-year-old.

"My website gives users an easy way of contacting the BBC Trust who, let's face it, are the body supposedly with the power to influence the BBC," the Daily Star quoted Jon, of St Neots, Cambs, as saying.

While Davies insisted that he was far from "referring to a real individual on the programme", Ross said it had been a "spontaneous, light-hearted remark" and "absolutely no offence was intended". (ANI)
