Harkrishan Singh Surjeet passes away

Noida, Aug 1: Veteran Marxist leader Harkrishan Singh Surjeet passed away today. He was 92.

On July 26, he was admitted at the Metro Hospital in Noida where he was treated for respiratory problems. Earlier, he had slipped into coma.

The veteran CPI (M) leader was suffering from cardiac-respiratory problems.

With his health declining, Surjeet was, for the first time, not included in the CPI (M) Polit Bureau at the party's 19th congress in early April 2008. He was instead designated as Special Invitee to the Central Committee.

He was the General Secretary of the CPI (M) from 1992 to 2005 and was a member of the party's Polit Bureau from 1964 to 2008.

Krishna confesses his involvement in Aarushi murder caseGhaziabad, June 17 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday claimed before a special court that Krishna, the compounder of Dr. Rajesh Talwar accepted his involvement in the murder of Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj.

He promised that he would help in recovering the weapon used in the twin murder.

Krishna told the agency that he would also help them in recovering Aarushi's mobile phone and should be given a chance, the CBI claimed.

CBI seeks Rajesh Talwar's custody from NOIDA court

Rajesh talwar & CBINOIDA, June 2 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation today demanded Dr. Rajesh Talwar’s remand from a NOIDA court to conduct a proper investigation into the Aarushi murder case.

The CBI team on Sunday had registered a First Information Report in the matter, and has begun probing the case by first interrogating the dead girl's mother, Nupur Talwar.

Earlier, Nupur went and met her husband Rajesh, at the Dasna Jail.
