Tulip Telecom Ltd has informed that it has been awarded a contract worth Rs. 950 million by Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd.
As per the order, Tulip Telecom will build a state-wide area network on the Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.
According to the sources, the proposed network, for a duration of 5 years, supports data, voice and video, and will facilitate the State to implement various e-Governance initiatives.
Bhopal, Sept 20 : A Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activist, who is suspected to be having links with Jaipur and Ahmedabad serial blasts, was held in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Saturday.
Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) DIG Pawan Srivastava told reporters here today that Mohammad Ali was arrested near Bhopal after intercepting a vehicle in which he was coming from Narsinghpur to the state capital on Friday in a joint operation named ‘Jimma’ by Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh police.
Earlier in the day, he was produced in a Bhopal court, which sent him to 10 days police custody.

According to sources, Mohammad Ali was arrested from Jabalpur while Khalid alias Vikram Nai was picked up from Kareli town of Narsinghpur District on Friday in a joint operation by Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh police.
Bhopal, Sept 20 : Officials of the ''Van Vihar'' zoo in Bhopal performed the last rites of a 19-year lion.
The lion was brought to the zoo in 2006 after being rescued from a circus.
The death of the lion, ''Badal'', comes after that of Rini, the only white tigress of the zoo that died last week.
"Badal was brought to the zoo after being rescued from Rajmahal circus. It died a natural death due to old age. At present, the Van Vihar zoo has 12 tigers, 14 lions and 16 panthers," said S. S Rajput, Director, Van Vihar.
The zoo is now planning to induct more animals, including a white tigress.
