Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to placate him while discussing the situation at AIIMS after the PM raised his concern over the exodus of senior doctors from the premier institute earlier this month, claimed The Indian Express.

The minister also apprised Singh regarding issues concerning to the AIIMS, including the number of vacancies and exodus of senior doctors to private institutes. At least 10 senior AIIMS doctors are reported to have resigned over the last one year to take up posts in private medical institutes.

Leaders tracking party lines Saturday demanded a discussion on price increase in the Lok Sabha during the budget meeting that begins Monday.

At a conference presided by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar prior to the session, "all party leaders demanded discussion on price rise in the house", said a partaker who did not want to be named. "It was an almost unanimous demand."

Gee, the Mary Lou Fulton Presidential Chair in Literacy Studies in the Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education at Arizona State University, asserts parents should stop viewing videogames as being an obstacle to kids keeping up with their school assignments.

Gee stated, "Commercial video games, the ones that make a lot of money, are nothing but problem-solving spaces,"

According to the Kerala State Aids Control Society (KSACS), the number of people infected with HIV has reached 55,167.

While addressing media, Health Secretary Manoj Joshi stated that as of October last year, around 11,024 HIV positive people had registered with the Anti Retroviral Therapy centres lead by KSACS.

"Of these 4,016 people are undergoing the ART treatment and 950 people have passed away. HIV prevalence rate in the general population is 0.26 percent, which is less than the national average of 0.34 percent," said Mr. Joshi.
