It has been reported that for the quarter ended on June 30, 2011, HDFC Bank booked a profit of Rs 1,085 which was just Rs 812 crore for the last year’s quarter. Mr. Paresh Sukthankar, Executive Director, HDFC Bank told that the stronger demand for working capital loan boosted the profit of the bank. He further said that the bank is expecting credit growth to increase by 4 to 5%.

The projections made by the Reserve Bank of India to rein in inflation to 6 % by end-March 2012, look to many a far dream. While the Central Bank is tracking the inflation rate, the economy is expected to cool in the near future.

A recent research carried out by the researchers from the University of Leeds has claimed that wearing armors double the amount of energy used in battle. The study was published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B journal.

The researchers have said that the weight of steel plate armor hampers the wearer’s breathing, pattern and make them weak in fight. Armors can also put additional weight on each limb, which affects the performance of soldiers.
