With an aim to evade the maximum amount of spam tweets, Twitter claims to have slashed the amount of spam tweets to 1 per cent.

It was estimated that in August, which saw the pinnacle of spam messages at 11 per cent, forced the company to take steps to being it down to current level.

Abdur Chowdhury, the Company's Chief Scientist, in a post on the Twitter blog complimented the engineers stating, "With help from engineers on our research team, we have moved the percentage of spam flowing through the Twitter network way down - and counting".

California-based company, Eye-Fi, which produces SD memory cards and SDHC cards with WiFi capabilities, has launched its latest offering - the Pro X2.

The Union Sports Minister M. S. Gill has said that security is a big concern in preparing for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the government is leaving no stone unturned conduct a safe event.
