Love, Sex Aur Dhoka shows changing morals

Love-Sex-Aur-DhokhaA new Bollywood film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD) is showing changing sexual morals in small towns and cities in the country.

Ekta Kapoor produces film is far away from her work on the silver screen which included mostly traditional family dramas. LSD interestingly in the first Indian movie to incorporate the word sex in its name and is yet nor distasteful.

LSD is the latest in a series of films that have come to challenge the traditional musical romances or violent stories. The movie has an Adult rating however there is a controversy over pictures of nude women which are blurred on the screen.

The director of the film, Dibakar Banerjee said that film is more about changing attitude than it is about sex. He added that the film shows how the modern devices threaten private lives of people.

The film has some unknown actors who shot an extended sex sequence however it did not make it through the censor board. The director has used spy cams, handycams, supermarket security cameras and underwater cameras, which made the film win acclaim from the experts.

The camera is a very important part of the whole story and is almost portrayed like a character in the film. A student falling in love with a film actress, an MMS scandal by a shopkeeper and a sting operation on a rock star all shows the importance of camera in the film.

Love Sex aur Dhokha is an attempt at changing mindsets and it might take more such daring films to achieve that. The use of the world sex in the movie has come as a culture shock to some but the director knows his young audience and their aspirations well.
