Air traffic hit in Mumbai in the wake of attack

Mumbai AirportTerror stricken Mumbai would take more time to resume normal air services. The air services are expected to be further hit in the coming days, following the impact of the terrorist attack on the financial and entertainment capital of the nation. Leading international carriers halted air services after the attack and marginally resume on Friday. The Mumbai airport witnessed 13 cancellations by the carriers like GoAir, Indigo and Kingfisher.

The teams were to stay at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, one of the chief targets of Wednesday's attack.

Mr Nilekani said, "It is a very great tragedy and is kind of state of war, but it also shows our institutions have become dysfunctional, be it policing, intelligence; it is very unfortunate. It is very disturbing to see that the solution is not that simple to find. It is a part of challenge which we have to deal with."

MRI images of a dog's nasal passages were studied by Brent Craven, from Pennsylvania State University and a team, in order to find how air traveled through them. The team reports, "Damp mucus on a dog's nose 'pre-sorts' smells by blocking the passage of some odor particles more than others."
