Islamabad, Apr. 24 : The Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM) has decided to extend the deadline for establishing Darul Qaza in NWFP for an indefinite period.

The decision was taken by the Central Shoora (council) of the TNSM, which expressed satisfaction over the efforts of the NWFP government to implement the law.

Peshawar, Apr. 24 : Concerned at the plight of thousands of people who are at the mercy of the `abusive and repressive' Taliban in the NWFP's Buner district following the insurgent's invasion of the region, the international human rights organization Amnesty International (AI) has severely criticized the Pakistan Government for its callous attitude towards the issue.

"The Pakistani government is fiddling as the North-West Frontier Province burns," AI's Asia-Pacific director Sam Zarifi said.

Islamabad - Pakistani prime minister Friday warned Taliban militants that a breach of a peace deal in the north-western Swat region would force the government to act against them.

The warning came as the United States increased pressure on the nuclear-armed country to confront the emboldened militants instead of ceding more and more territory to the insurgents.

Islamabad, Apr. 24 : Inching closer towards the capital city Islamabad, the Taliban has entered Shangla district adjacent to Buner in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

Police officials of the area have also confirmed the report.

"They entered the tehsil in cars and are still in the area," a police official said.

According to reports, after the district administration accepted Taliban's control over Buner following holding a `jirga' with local commanders, the insurgents advanced towards Shangla.

Islamabad, Apr. 24 : The political fraternity in Pakistan is worried about reports of the Taliban moving closer to Islamabad.

Members of the National Assembly have demanded that the on-going session of the house be extended and a summons be issued to Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (DG) Lt. Gen. Shuja Pasha to brief members about the actual situation on ground.

Islamabad, Apr. 24 : Pakistan has tabled `documentary proof' against India Afghanistan in the Senate, which supports its claims that the two countries are involved in the on-going unrest in Balochistan.

The documents stated that New Delhi was providing tactical support and was funding and training Pakistani terror groups.
