Pak Taliban brutally thrash teenage girl 34 times for venturing out without male companion
Islamabad, Apr. 3 : The Taliban's writ cannot be challenged, as a two minute mobile video has shown.
A teenage girl was whipped continuously by some Taliban fighters for venturing out of her house without her male companion in Matta District located in the Swat Valley.
According to The Nation, the video showed two men holding the girl's arms and feet, while a third one thrashed her continuously.
The girl whimpered in pain, and urged them to stop the treatment.
"Either kill me or stop it now," her trembling voice was heard on and off during the whole episode.
The girl was whipped 34 times.
The Taliban also confirmed the report, terming the girl's act `Un-Islamic'
"She came out of her house with another guy who was not her husband, so we must punish her. There are boundaries you cannot cross," Taliban spokesperson Muslim Khan said over the telephone.
Khan said the Taliban also has the right to thrash inappropriately dressed women shoppers. (ANI)
