New Delhi, June 22 : Unstable international oil rates may force the Government of India to increase petrol price by Rs 2 a litre and diesel by Re 1 per litre, unless excise duty on both the fuels is cut to neutralise the increase.

According to reports, state fuel retailers- Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum- incur a loss of Rs 135 crore per day on sale of petrol, diesel, LPG and kerosene. While their annual revenue loss for current fiscal is estimated to be at Rs 38,700 crore.

New Delhi June 22 : The Union Government has decided to ban the Communist Party of India (Maoist), calling it as a terrorist organisation under the Unlawful Activity (Prevention) Act 1967.

The Home Ministry in this regard issued the notification after a high level meeting.

The Maoist organisation is banned by many states including Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh, and today''s decision of the centre overrides the West Bengal government''s decision not to ban the CPI-Maoist.

Warsaw - Polish politician Jaroslaw Kaczynski said Monday a new faction in the European Parliament will stress family values and sovereignty of the EU's member states.

Kaczynski, head of the eurosceptic opposition party Law and Justice, said the faction will include eight parties and 55 members.

The faction will battle bureaucracy in the European Union and stress equality of all member states, Kaczynski told reporters in Warsaw.

An evaluation of a national dancing initiative found that kids'' attitudes to exercise changed because of the introduction of dance to PE lessons.

The Essentially Dance project, aimed to improve children''s health and fitness, also builds their confidence and improves their relationship skills.
