The World Bank through its latest report has warned efforts made to curb greenhouse gas emission can push over 100-million people into poverty by 2030, if no climate-smart developments are made.

The report has been released a few weeks before the United Nations climate conference that has been scheduled to take place in Paris. According to the report, Managing the Impacts of Climate Change on Poverty, has found that several poor throughout the world are already under high risk due to rising climate like crop failure due to less rainfall, rise in food prices, and increases in occurrence of diseases after heat waves and floods.

The doctors, who carried out the treatment of the boy and wrote the report of his case, said that a medical team has conducted an operation to remove the pin, and following it the boy has recovered without further complications.

An independent panel to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has said that Merck & Co's drug to reverse the effects of muscle relaxants used in surgery is safe and quite effective to warrant approval.

The chemical name of the drug is sugammadex. FDA has repeatedly rejected it over concerns related to potentially dangerous allergic reactions, even though the drug has the approval in over 75 countries.

The drug was acquired by the company when it purchased the US drugmaker Schering Plough, which created the drug sugammadex in 2009.
