I Don’t Need Ekta To Shape My Career, Says Tusshar Kapoor
Jeetendra’s loving son Tusshar Kapoor might not be a conventional screen stunner but he’s got remarkable presence.
That’s
why he’s existed for a long time in the Bollywood industry. Of course
being a superstar kid helps, with a few box office hits to balance his
flops.
When asked, does he regret the truth that he wasn’t launched in a home production?
Tusshar
answered, “All parents want their children to be something on their
own, to make their mark in the world by their own efforts. My family is
no different. Besides, I always wanted to do something on my own and I
was already offered ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’ before Ekta launched her
movie.”
But then, there’s also a feeling that Tusshar got
several movies by the virtue of being Ekta’s brother; and he worked in
different films produced under her banner.
On this, aggressive
Tusshar said, “It is totally wrong. I have just done three films with
Ekta and 17 with others. If I wanted family backing then I would have
made my debut in a home production only. I don’t need Ekta to shape up
my career.”
When questioned being Jeetendra’s son, does he still face comparisons with his dad?
Tusshar
confessed, “My dad and I are completely different in terms of looks and
personality. But yes, as an artiste and as an individual I have
absorbed many qualities from him. I have learnt to be patient,
confident, and to keep smiling during the ups and downs of life.”
Predictably he’s very much excited about his recently launched film ‘Golmaal Returns.’
“I am continuing with my character of a hearing impaired youngster but this time, I can promise you it’s funnier,” he told.
After being marked as a comedian, Tusshar was in quest of variety and an opportunity to confirm his resourcefulness.
And now he is pleased that his upcoming flicks ‘Run Bhola Run’ and ‘Life Partner’ will present him in new charaters.
When
asked a question about his love life, he said, “I am 31 now, what do
you expect me to say? Yeah, I had been in love thrice, but right now I
am single and don’t want to mingle as I am too involved with my work.”
