The latest James Bond flick 'Quantum of Solace' generated some lackluster reviews, but despite that has set an opening-weekend record for the 46-year-old film franchise- selling an estimated $70.4 million in tickets in North American theaters, for Sony Corp. and Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

The 39th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will start from November 22 in Goa. During the film festival, 200 films in various sections from dozen countries will be screened.

The "competition" section will include two Indian entries - S. Priyadarshan's Tamil film "Kanchivaram" and Ramesh Laxman More's acclaimed Marathi film "Mahasatta" along with 13 other films chosen from Bangladesh, Russia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Iran, the Philippines, Argentina, China and Japan.

And the winner Thursday night was … Colombian rocker Juanes, who walked away with five Latin Grammys, one from each category he was nominated in. 
  
Making a clean sweep at the Latin Grammy’s, Juane took home a grammy for, the track Me Enamora - Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Short-Form Music Video, Best Male Pop Vocal Album, and Album of the Year for La Vida ... Es un Ratico (Life Is .. But A Little Moment. 
  

After enthralling the audiences with her graceful moves in the song 'Radha kaise na jale' from 'Lagaan', actress Gracy Singh is all set to mesmerise the audience in Kolkata with Rabindranath Tagore's famous dance ballet 'Shyama'.

The ballet - scheduled for November 16 - will be presented in the dance form of Bharatnatyam. It is a poignant narration of a court dancer, Shyama, falling in love with Bajrasen, a foreign merchant. The ballet entails emotions of eternal love, temptation and manipulation in the name of love.
