Penthouse intends buying Las Vegas Strip Casino

Penthouse intends buying Las Vegas Strip Casino Marc Bell, CEO of ‘Penthouse’ - the adult magazine and web site empire, with a cable network as well - told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the company wants to buy a casino on the Las Vegas Strip, fix it up and give it a new image. Bell said: “We think it would be a tremendous draw.”

In the journal’s report published Sunday, Bell stated that Penthouse would like to buy an established hotel, and not change its name. He also said the company “would like to see a Penthouse casino presence and a Penthouse pool presence.”

If Penthouse is successful in buying a casino and its subsequent makeover, Bell said he visualizes girls from the magazine as casino dealers, and the possibility of strippers performing inside the hotel, in case that is made legal.

Bell said: “I would to imagine at point we would be able to, as entertainment gets more risqué on the Strip, as Vegas gets more back to its roots.”

Saying that the best time to buy is in a down economy, Bell added that he has had talks with “numerous people” to find a property on the Strip, but he wants a significant property – “a place where we can have the most impact.”
