Car bombing on security post kills 30 in PakistanPeshawar, Pakistan  - At least 30 people were killed and more than 80 injured in a suicide car bombing on a security checkpoint on Saturday in north-west Pakistan, officials and hospital authorities said.

The attack took place at Zangali checkpoint, 15 kilometres from Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province, local police chief Muhammad Suleman said.

Peshawar blastPeshawar, Sept 6 : Twelve people were killed and at least 30 injured in a bomb blast on the outskirts of Peshawar in Pakistan on Saturday, when the explosion ripped through a security check post in a market area.

The blast took place on Kohat road, near Badaber area, and destroyed more than 15 vehicles, according to Dawn Television.

Shortly after the blast local Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

The terrorists had targeted a police check post, and the resultant blast destroyed two markets.

Pak Taliban warn pro-govt tribe in Bajaur Agency to stop co-operating with govt

BajaurPeshawar, Sept 5: The Pakistani unit of Taliban, the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) has reportedly warned a pro-Pakistan Government tribe in the Bajaur Agency to stop co-operating with the government or face militant action.

According to sources in the Salarzai Tribe, Bajaur Agency Taliban commander Faqir Muhammad last evening warned them (Salarzai Tribe) to stop co-operating with the government or face militant action.

NATO troops allegedly involved in Pak-Afghan raid

Pak Taliban claims responsibility for Peshawar blastPeshawar, Sept. 3 : Coalition troops from across the Afghan border reportedly raided a Pakistani village on Wednesday, and according to the Governor of Pakistan''s North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Owais Ahmed Ghani, at least 20 people have been killed.

Ghani was quoted as saying in a statement that "Innocent citizens of Pakistan including women and children were martyred."
