Kushna Dam (Nepal), Sept 4 : Indian flood victims have alleged that they are being discriminated by the authorities at relief camps in Nepal.

The Indians, hailing from the flood hit Bhawanipur in Bihar, who had taken refuge over the Kosi dam in Nepal were shifted to relief camps after the repair work on the dam started.

These victims accused the relief authorities at the camp of discriminating against them while distributing food relief.

The authorities at the relief camp have issued coupons to the flood victims that need to be shown at the time of distribution of relief material.

Mumbai, Sept. 4 : The Bombay High Court on Thursday said that a bar dancer can be termed a ''genuine artists''.

"Merely because these girls were performing in dance bars earlier, it cannot be readily inferred that they are not genuine artists," Justice A B Chaudhary said.

The dance bars of Mumbai had been given performance licenses by the government itself, Justice Chaudhary further noted.

New Delhi, Sept 4 : Delhi police has nabbed a Nigerian national with heroin worth Rs. 25 million here today.

While talking to media about the haul Deputy Commissioner of police, Special Cell, Alok Kumar said, “A team of special cell led by Inspector Attar Singh under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar exposed an international drug cartel. The team has recovered 2.5 kilograms of heroin which is worth Rupees 2.5 crore in international market.”

Acting on a tip-off the police team arrested Abdul Latif alias Johnson, a resident of Lagos, Nigeria, and an Indian Mohammad Akhtar with one kilogram of heroin.

New York, Sept. 4 : Indian companies once again made a strong showing in the Forbes List of fifty top Asian companies.

Ten Indian companies have made the list, which is dominated by China (13 companies). Australia and Taiwan follow India with seven and six firms respectively. The list also includes Hong Kong (five firms), Japan (three), South Korea (two), and Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia (one each).

New Delhi, Sept 4 : The Delhi High Court today directed the National Capital Territory (NCT) government to formulate a scheme to prevent harassment of minor children after being employed in households.

The court order came following a letter received from the Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) challenging a Metropolitan Magistrate''s order dismissing its application for a baby''s custody and allowing a couple to adopt a baby whose mother was a minor maid and a rape victim.
