Pak govt’s charge-sheet against Musharraf ‘almost finalised’Islamabad, Aug 10 : The ‘draft committee’ of the PPP-led ruling coalition has ‘almost finalised’ the charge-sheet against President Pervez Musharraf and the parliamentary resolutions asking him to get a vote-of-confidence, said the country’s Information Minister and senior PPP leader Sherry Rehman.

After attending the meeting of the “draft committee”, Sherry said Musharraf had “subverted” the constitution and that the whole nation was “aware of the charge-sheet against him”.

Musharraf not in favour of dissolving AssembliesIslamabad, Aug 10 : Sources close to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf have said that he will not use Article 58(2b) (related to dissolving the Assemblies), and will wait for the ruling coalition’s charge-sheet against him before deciding his future course of action.

According to these sources, the President said this at a meeting with PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. On the occasion, the latter asked the President to avoid using Article 58(2b) to dissolve the Assemblies and to opt for resignation if he did not want to face the charges.

Islamabad, Aug 10 :Zardari claims ruling coalition has support of more than 300 MPs to impeach Musharraf PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly said that the ruling coalition had the support of more than 300 parliamentarians, nearly 350, in both the National Assembly and the Senate, to impeach President Pervez Musharraf.

The Impeachment Motion against Musharraf is likely to be tabled in Pakistan parliament tomorrow.

Pakistan People''s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Islamabad, August 9 : Even as the ruling Pakistan People''s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) coalition prepares to impeach President Pervez Musharraf on August 11, the President has stated that he would decide his future course of action after considering the allegations levelled against him.

Musharraf told this to Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who in turn told him that if he decides to face the impeachment democratically, the party would support him.

According to The News, Pakistan People''s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders have decided to make Musharraf the first-ever non-functional head of the state.

Verbal orders have been issued to all government departments across the country not to invite Musharraf to any ceremonies.

The four provincial assemblies will also pass resolutions against the President next week and no chief minister will welcome him in any provincial capital.
