Islamabad, Aug 1 : A couple of days after senior PML-N leader and former premier Nawaz Sharif said that he will be soon holding “decisive talks” with PPP Co-chairman Asif Zardari over the judges’ restoration issue, the latter has said that he would every possible effort to continue the alliance with Nawaz, but “without bowing to any pressure tactics”.

Islamabad, July 31 : PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and PM’s Interior adviser Rehman Malik took the controversial decision to place the Inter-Services Intelligence under the Interior Ministry.

Sources said that the abortive attempt to put the ISI under the Interior Ministry, that created a storm in Rawalpindi last week, was meant to actually give its control to Zardari “as Rehman Malik is his most trusted person in the government.”

Not only the senior PPP leaders and the entire cabinet were kept in the dark, and no partner of the ruling coalition was taken on board in this decision, they added.

Lahore, July 30: PML-N leader and former Pakistan premier, Nawaz Sharif has said that he would meet PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the next few days to hold the final round of talks over the issues of judges’ reinstatement and impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf.

He said that it was high time to hold decisive talks with the ruling party, as the mandate given on Feb 18 had not been translated into reality until now.
