According to a report released on Wednesday, 6.9% of high-school students smoke cigarettes, pointing toward a steady decline during the past two decades. Although, students have stopped lighting up old-school tobacco, health officials are threatened by a huge increase in teens using electronic cigarettes.

The report by Department of Health has discovered that 15.8% of high-school students use electronic cigarettes that permit people to inhale vaporized nicotine in various flavors. The percentage was up from 10.8% in 2014 and 5.4% in 2013.

Researchers, in a recent report published on Tuesday, revealed that they have found a new species of plant-eating dinosaur in Alaska. The fossils were found in rock deposited 69 million years ago.

According to Pat Druckenmiller, earth sciences curator at the University of Alaska Museum in Fairbanks, the animal was a variety of hadrosaur, a duck-billed dinosaur that roamed in herds.

The researchers said northern Alaska, in the past, was covered by forest with a much warmer climate. The dinosaur lived in darkness for months and also experienced snow.

Marking a major step towards a record-setting glider flight to the edge space, the Airbus Perlan 2 has successfully completed its first test flight on Wednesday. Perlan took a flight from Redmond Municipal Airport into the skies over Central Oregon.

The Perlan 2 glider is the world's first engineless aircraft designed to reach the edge of space. This was the first test flight of the aircraft, which next year will attempt to set a new world altitude record for any airplane.

The major goal of this project is to open up a world of new discoveries related to high-altitude flight, climate change and space exploration. Makers of the glider hoped to break the world record in the first flight itself. In the next flight, they expect the Perlan 2 to soar to a height of 90,000 feet.
