Raising sparks of its latest venture of Apple, Gene Munster a senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray says, Apple might enter in the competitive area of HDTV by 2012.

As Munster states, Apple has the potential to deliver HDTV at $2000 (roughly £1340) and with the current offering in Apple's Cinema HD Display, which is a 30-inch mammoth flat panel costing $1799, it is quite possible that Apple could bring a 42 inch model featuring only HD.

Munster further supported his statement by saying, "As connected TVs proliferate the integration of hardware, software and content will become a key selling point for TVs."
