With resumption of some flights over Europe, Crude oil prices also start to take off
As some airlines resumed flights over Europe, with volcanic ash dissipating in some areas, Crude oil prices rose to just less than $83 per barrel on Tuesday.
Flights resumed in France, Netherlands, Britain and Germany after long delays imposed by Iceland's Eyjafjallajoekull volcano, which has been in stages of eruption since March 20, The Los Angeles Times reported.
May delivery crude gained $1.53 to $82.98 per barrel, by close of business on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Adding 0.0307 cents, heating oil prices for the last day of the May contract went up to $2.1875 per gallon.
A rise of 0.0358 cents was witnessed by reformulated gasoline blend-stock prices for May, which ended the day at 2.2902 per gallon.
Henry Hub natural gas prices rose 0.024 cents to $3.968 per million British thermal units.
According to the reports of AAA, at the pump, the national average price for unleaded gasoline was $2.859 per gallon Tuesday, down from Monday's $2.862. (With Inputs from Agencies)
