UK’s advertising watchdog, The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has slammed the British Midlands International (BMI) for posting a “misleading” offer claiming 40 per cent off all flights.

BMI’s low cost airline bmibaby organized an internet advertisement campaign that read: “Up to 40 per cent off ALL flights!”

A team of researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed a new computer system that is capable of understanding human language by simply reading a game’s manual.

Researchers at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab developed the system, which learned to play popular online strategy game Civilization by reading the game’s manual, without human supervision.

According to a new study, the number of Chinese websites fell significantly last year as more and a million sites were taken offline due to non-compliance with the country’s strict internet laws.

China had about .91 million websites at the end of 2010, which is about 41 percent less than a year earlier, according to a report by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). The CASS, which is a government think-thank, said that the decline is due to an economic downturn and campaigns to root out internet pornography and spam.
