An Angus Reid Public Opinion poll released on Friday said, in a survey of 2,003 British adults conducted online, 49 percent said they thought it was a bad idea to prevent the media naming juvenile offenders.

It was said by thirty-three percent that they were in favor of the policy.

The police have arrested an Indiana man who allegedly ran away and tried to hide after striking a construction worker with such force the body broke his windshield.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Robert Shannon, 35, of Hammond was arrested late Tuesday, 21 hours after Christopher Jenkins of Valparaiso was killed. Police also said that Shannon admitted killing Jenkins.

Jenkins was part of a pothole repair crew on the Borman Expressway in Lake Station, Ind., when he was struck, police said. Even though the construction area was well marked, other workers said the car that hit him did not brake.
