Israeli army arrests seven Palestinians in West Bank
Ramallah - Israeli forces arrested seven Palestinians in the West Bank early on Saturday, Israeli and Palestinian security sources said.
According to the Palestinian sources, five of the detainees were seized in Nablus city during an Israeli army incursion. The five Palestinians were taken from their houses.
Israeli troops also arrested two people in Bethlehem.
Israeli forces detain West Bank residents on a daily basis, saying the campaign targets Palestinian activists wanted by the Israeli intelligence services.
In June, the Israeli army arrested 340 Palestinians in West Bank raids, according to the Palestinian prisoners' affairs ministry. (dpa)
