blackberry-z30New Delhi, Oct 24 : BlackBerry Thursday introduced a new smartphone called Z30 in India priced at Rs. 39,990. The all-touch device is targeted at the urban youth and will be available for sale in Indian markets early next week.

"The new BlackBerry Z30 smartphone offers a unique and engaging user experience with features like the powerful BlackBerry Hub, its exceptional touchscreen keyboard and industry leading browser,” Sunil Lalvani, managing director for India at BlackBerry, said at a media conference here.

BMW launches the new 5 Series sedan

BMW-5-SeriesNew Delhi, Oct 10 : German luxury automobile manufacturer BMW Thursday launched the new model of its sedan -- 5 Series priced between Rs. 46.90 lakh and Rs. 57.90 lakh.

"The BMW 5 Series is the 'world's most sought after executive sedan' and has played a major role in the company's success globally," said Philipp von Sahr, president, BMW Group India.

"BMW 5 Series is one of the core models in our product portfolio in India and accounts for over one third of our local production in India."

"We will soon be launching Dost Express - a 13-seater passenger carrying vehicle. We will also launch another LCV named Partner," Ashok Leyland's vice chairman V. Sumantran told reporters here Thursday launching multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) STILE.

Skoda launches Octavia's third generation model

Skoda-OctaviaNew Delhi, Oct 3 : Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda Thursday reintroduced its luxury sedan Octavia by launching the passenger vehicle's third generation version, priced between Rs. 13.95 lakh and Rs. 19.45 lakh.

The vehicle was discontinued after 2010, as the second generation version did not meet the emission requirements.

"The Octavia had launched Skoda back in 2001 and today the Indian market is a key component in Skoda's global plans," Sudhir Rao, managing director, Skoda Auto Indi, a said.

"Every quarter from now there will be a new bike from TVS Motor. In January we will launch Scooty Zest. We will sell 20,000 units of Jupiter by December. While the launch in north India happened today (Monday), the model will be launched in south India this November," chairman and managing director Venu Srinivasan told reporters here Monday.

Hyundai launches Grand i10

"The Grand is particularly designed keeping in mind the needs of the Indian customers. The new vehicle comes with some of the most advanced features in this segment," Nalin Kapoor, senior general manager and group head marketing, Hyundai Motor India, told IANS.

"The Grand compliments our existing product portfolio and is smartly placed between i10 and i20, a segment where we had no presence till now," he said.

Nokia unveils two new Lumia phones in India

Lumia-925New Delhi, Aug 22 : Finnish handset maker Nokia added two new variety - Lumia 925 and Lumia 625 - in Lumia portfolio Thursday targetting at the young age group of 18-25 years.

"In 18 months, we have launched 12 Lumia devices,” Nokia India Director Marketing Viral Oza said.

The company has priced Lumia 625 at Rs. 19,999 and the phone will be available in the market in the next few days. Lumia 925 is already available in the market for Rs. 33,499. (IANS)

Nissan unveils SUV Terrano

Refusing to give any details on pricing, the company said that the starting price tag for the car would be below Rs. 10 lakh and that the bookings will commence Sep 1.

"Terrano marks our entry into the compact SUV segment, which is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian market today," Kenichiro Yomura, president, Nissan India Operations, said.
