Fiat could bid for Opel if Chrysler deal falls through EdsGermany/Washington - In the high-stakes scramble for survival in the car industry, Italian car manufacturer Fiat Friday said it could pursue a deal with GM's Opel and Vauxhall brands if the pending partnership with Chrysler collapses.

Fiat chief executive Sergio Marchionne said that completing arrangements with Chrysler by the US-government-imposed deadline of April 30 was still his "first and foremost objective," the Detroit Free Press reported online.

But if that falls through, he would pursue the Opel and Vauxhall path.

BGR Energy Systems LimitedBGR Energy Systems Limited, a leading energy equipment supplier, has won an order worth Rs 15.50 crore from Maithon Power Limited, Jharkhand for Design, Engineering, Supply, Erection and Commissioning.

The company has secured latest contract for the 2 x 525 MW Coal-based Power Plant, which is being developed by Maithon Power Limited.

Maithon Power Limited is a Joint Venture Company of Tata Power and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).
