Audi to have 40 models by 2015; to launch its Q3 SUV in 2011

Audi to have 40 models by 2015; to launch its Q3 SUV in 2011 Audi will literally on a roll over the next few years - what with more than 40 of its models to be in the markets by 2015; and the new models to be lined up for their respective launches, one following the other! By this year-end, 32 Audi models will be available, inclusive of the lately-launched A4 Allroad, A5 and S5 Cabriolet, TTRS and the R8 V10.

Before the end of 2010, Audi proposes to launch three new models; and by 2011, the Audi Q3 SUV will hit the markets in Europe, and in India either in 2011 or early 2012. Another model to be launched in 2011 will be the A1 premium supermini.

The Audi Q3 SUV will compliment the range of Q vehicles such as the Q5 and Q7. The model is likely to be launched in India in 2011 or early 2012. The Q3 will be a special model, as it will give a new dimension to SUV's, quite like the also-yet-to-be-launched BMW X1. Though representative of their bigger siblings, the new SUV models would be comparatively smaller, and downsized.

The Q3 SUV will be powered by contemporary Audi engines' series - including two 2.0-litre TFSI units, and a 2.0-litre diesel offering 138 and 169 bhp - and the apparently extremely capable model might just be perfect for the Indian market!
