Most of the Bollywood stars to attend IIFA, says Sri Lankan MinisterPutting an end to all speculations around Indian film starts not attending the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) function, to be held in Sri Lanka this year, the Sri Lankan government has said that about 97 per cent of them have confirmed to appear in the event.

One of the officials associated with this years IIFA event, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Sri Lanka said to media today that about 97 per cent of the big stars have given their consent. However, superstar Amitabh Bachchan is yet to confirm, he added.

As per the minister, while brand ambassador of IIFA Amitabh Bachhan is yet to give his final nod, it is sure that son Abhishek Bachhan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will not be attending the function as they are busy in promoting their latest flick 'Ravan'.

The others major starts who will also miss the event are Shahrukh Khan, Kamal Hasan, Arjun Rampal and film director Mani Ratnam. As per the Sri Lankan minister, the uncertainties popped up as some small group from Tamil Nadu is trying to dissuade the stars from attempting the event.
