Hollywood movie Knight And Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, got a huge opening in India with a gross earnings of Rs 75 million in the opening weekend.

The action comedy movie has got the third biggest opening as a Hollywood film in India. Earlier, the Hollywood movies Prince of Persia and Clash of The Titans, received such a huge opening in this country.

According to a press statement at the international level, the film has grossed fourth highest in India among other countries where the film has opened till date. The movie was released with 275 prints.

Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios India, said, "The huge crowd was attracted not only by the hit Tom-Cameron pair but also by the thrilling combination of action and comedy in the movie. We expect much more collections in the coming weeks as strong word of mouth promotion continues for the film".

Diaz and Cruise are playing a fugitive couple in Knight And Day and they are on a race throughout the world in the midst of shifting alliances and sudden betrayals.

The movie got much better opening in Indian than its own Bollywood release Milenge Milenge.
