The Spring Summer 2011 Haute couture collection had Chanel showcasing the casual range with high street fashion channeled beautifully with mixed-up, casual chic styles which had a very contemporary feel and look along with the biggest trend setters styles that were truly jaw dropping.

According to reports, the Karl Lagerfeld had the “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively who co-incidentally is the new Chanel spokesperson in mind while designing the latest collection. The highlight of this couture was the beaded jackets and the skinny jeans and flats that were teamed with it.

However, here was the opposite end of the spectrum on Haute Couture as Givenchy had brought about a completely breath taking collection of Baroque garments, this was the essential line that crossed the divide between clothes and Art!

Reportedly there was a great ensemble of tulle gowns with pearls, sequins, beads, petals in fabric, feathers to add the extra zing which had taken painstaking hours to make and received great ovation despite having an astounding six figure price tag.
