New Delhi, Apr 24: Amid an outrage over the death of Akriti Bhatia, Union Minister of State for Women and Children Development Renuka Choudhary on Friday said that such incidents should never happen.

"What can be done is that if there are five or six schools in an area and there is a nursing home or a hospital there then the schools can be linked to that. But we must examine the feasibility of this. We must ensure that something like this never happens," said Renuka.

New Delhi  - An Indian court on Friday ordered medical tests to determine the age of Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone gunman suspect captured during the November
2008 assault on Mumbai, news reports said.

Special Judge ML Tahilyani's order came after Kasab's lawyer contended that the suspect be tried as a juvenile on grounds that he was 17 years old, the IANS news agency reported.

The judge said a doctor would carry out dental and bone examinations to find Kasab's true age.

New Delhi, Apr 24 : Filing of nominations for the fifth and last phase of Lok Sabha elections comes to an end on Friday.

Scrutiny will be held on Saturday and polling will be held for 86 seats on May 13.

In this phase, polling will be held for two seats in Jammu and Kashmir, nine seats in Punjab, four seats in Himachal Pradesh, eleven in West Bengal, five in Uttarakhand, 39 in Tamilnadu, 14 in UP and one each in Puducherry and Chandigarh.

New Delhi  - Authorities in India-administered Kashmir placed the region's main separatist leaders under house arrest Friday to prevent them from addressing rallies after they issued a call to boycott Indian elections, a news report said.

Polling has been held in the two rounds in the troubled region since April 16. Three more rounds remain until the parliamentary elections conclude on May 13.
