Lahore, Dec. 12 : The Pakistan Government has directed public and private TV channels not to air statements by banned Pakistani outfits, a private TV channel reported on Thursday.
The Daily Times quoted the channel authorities as saying that the government has also cancelled the declaration of weekly `Ghazwa' and the monthly `Al Dawa' - published by the now-banned Jamaat-ud-Daawa, the political wing of the militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.
The ban came in the wake of a crackdown launched on the charity by the Pakistani authorities.
On Thursday, the government placed the chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Muhammad Saeed under house arrest for a period of three months in Lahore.
Lahore, Dec. 11 : The chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, the political wing of the banned militant organization, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hafiz Mohammed Saeed has said that he will approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to arbitrate on the imposition of sanctions on the outfit by the United Nations Security Council.
Addressing a telephonic press conference here on Thursday, Hafiz Saeed sought to put up a defiant stance, claiming that it was concerned by the international clampdown and would contact the UN to clear its position.

The News quoted well-placed official sources as saying that Azhar’s activities have been restricted in the wake of the Indian Government’s recent demand that he be handed over to New Delhi.
Lahore, Dec. 9 : A Lashkar-e-Taiba coordinator has said that the arrest of at least 20 Jamaat-ud-Dawa activists, including the purported mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks, Zaki-u-Rehman Lakhvi, on the outskirts of Muzaffarabad, will not stop the militant outfit from continuing with its activities.
"We are still well-organized and active," the Washington Times quoted the Lashkar coordinator, as saying during an interaction at a safe house near Lahore.
The Lashkar fighter in Lahore said the group has "huge strength" and is concentrated in Pakistan''s tribal areas on the border with Afghanistan.
