Sneha turns Vamp

Gorgeous Sneha looks in a mood to prove her versatility in acting and show the audiences and the producers more shades of her acting talent. After Ramya Krishnan and Sangeetha, now Sneha would be playing a vamp in the forthcoming flick titled Goa.

It is said her role as a vamp will be much talked about like Ramya Krishna in Padaiyappa. Rajni's daughter Soundarya is producing the film Goa. Sneha surely seems to be one who likes to accept challenges as it takes guts to change your image in this glam-world. The shooting of the film is scheduled to commence next month. It would be interesting to see whether this babe succeeds in her new task and earns appreciation and accolades for her vampish display.

Get the beer,Goafest is here

After the economic downturn set off speculation in the ad fraternity about the possibility of this year's Goafest being quashed, news comes that India's biggest advertising carnival is very much on.

On Wednesday, the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and the Ad Club Bombay announced the annual advertising and media industry jamboree — which attracts close to 3,000 attendees — will be held between 2-4 April at Cavelossim Beach, Goa.

Doubts over the participation of O&M and McCann Erickson have been quelled, with both creative powerhouses deciding to send in entries. How many delegates will participate is still undecided due to financial pressures.

'This is too good a recession to waste'

Colvyn Harris, the soft-spoken chairman of India's advertising carnival, Goafest, is also CEO of JWT, one of India's biggest ad agencies. Despite the challenge he's facing in making sure the fest happens on time — and on its usual scale — Arcopol Chaudhuri finds him calm and composed while scepticism bubbles about the delegate turnout. Excerpts:

It is understood you're having a hard time finding sponsors for Goafest this year...

Kamat said these casinos were revenue earners for the State Government.

"We charge them Rs 5 crore as licencing fee. They also pay various other taxes," he said.
