Chennai, Feb 4 : Protestors of various political parties, excluding the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), today smashed the window screens of some state-owned vehicles in strike-hit Tamil Nadu.
The strike was called to protest against the alleged killing of civilians in neighbouring Sri Lanka.
Police claimed that some unidentified persons had damaged windscreens of government buses in Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Tanjavur, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Tiruchirapalli, Dindigul and Tirunelveli. There were no reports of anyone being injured
