Lalu ready to entertain people with an animation filmRailway Minister Lalu Prasad has always fascinated masses with his unique style. Now he is ready to capture heart of millions with an animation film. 

Pawan Kumar is making 16 animated film clips of two minutes duration each. He said that the films would depict childhood and student days of Prasad, his buffalo rides, skipping school, joining student politics and the JP movement, and his political rise thereafter.

Viswanathan AnandWorld chess champion, Viswanathan Anand has decided to launch NIIT Mind Champion Academy (NIIT-MCA) to promote chess among schoolchildren in Bihar on Thursday. The academy would provide chess infrastructure to schools for promotion of the mind game. The sate government would provide computers to registered school-level chess clubs as per its computerization program.

C&C Constructions Pockets Rs 781 Cr Order; Stock Up 9.6%Gurgaon-based infrastructure development company C&C Constructions Ltd has received an order worth Rs 781 crore for a dedicated freight corridor from New Karwadiya to New Ganj Khwaja in Bihar.

This work is of 105 kilometers on the Mughal-Sone section of the Eastern Corridor, which has to be finished by the next 36 months.

The project will be carried out in company with its joint venture partner M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd.

M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd is equal partner in this contract.

Cold wave grips Bihar

Patna, Dec 18 : The sudden dip in temperature during last four days has brought about a chill in the weather, making life difficult for people in Bihar.

Locals covered in woollens made their way through the blanket of fog, which enveloped Patna.

People could be seen huddled around fires to keep themselves warm and those sleeping on roadside were wrapped in quilts and blankets to protect themselves from the biting chill.

"It is very cold in Patna these days. We are surviving somehow in this biting cold by lighting fires and warming ourselves," said Prabhat Kumar, a resident.
