Rahul Gandhi wants politics of peace, love, developmentAnantnag, Apr 27: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who addressed a joint rally with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today, said that he wanted to bring in a politics of development, love and friendship.

“The country can move forward only with people from all religions, region and caste moving together,” Rahul Gandhi said at a joint election rally here.

Gandhi further asked people of the Kashmir valley to vote for the NC.

“Vote for the NC candidate means a vote for Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government,” he added.

Gandhi also accused the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of playing divisive politics.

The Congress leader also highlighted the developments that had taken place in the state during the tenure of the UPA Government.

“Construction of railway line and power projects in Jammu and Kashmir are the few development works done by the UPA Government,” he added.

Gandhi asked the Kashmiri youths to try to take their state on top.

“I have not come here as a politician. I am a youth and I want to be friend of the Kashmiri youth. Only youths can bring their state on top,” he added. (ANI)
