Rahul Gandhi raises concern over rebels in Congress party

Rahul GandhiJaipur, Jan 21, : All India Congress Committee's General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday said that action against the rebels, who may harm prospects of the party during elections, should be taken before distribution of tickets.

Speaking at the first meeting of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) functionaries, MLAs, MPs since the formation of the Congress government in Rajasthan under Ashok Gehlot, remarked that one of the problems in the Congress was that those who work for the party and those who harm the party are getting the same treatment.

Rahul treats Miliband with experience of dynamic rural IndiaNarayanpur (UP), Jan 15 : The visiting Britain''s Foreign Secretary, David Miliband along with Congress party General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, visited Amethi on Wednesday for a first-hand experience of progressive rural India.

Both the leaders have undertaken a two-day visit to Amethi during which they interacted with the people of Narayanpur and Asadiyapur villages.

Miliband''s eleven-member delegation also accompanied the two leaders during their visit.

Earlier, Miliband had expressed his desire to see the rural developmental activities in India during a meeting with Rahul Gandhi some time ago in the United Kingdom.

Rahul had invited him to visit Amethi where several schemes pertaining to cooperatives, self-help groups and healthcare have been launched in the recent years.

Speaking before addressing a party rally here, Gandhi said: "This is the time to remain united to face the challenge of terrorism."

He claimed the all terrorists wanted to divide the country, but people and the government should face up to their challenge and thwart their evil designs.

Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Delhi today

Rahul GandhiNew Delhi, Nov 26 : Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will campaign at Delhi on Wednesday.

The Gandhi scion will address the rally in GTB Enclave in Dilshad Garden, which is part of the Seemapuri constituency.

This will be the first ever election rally of Rahul Gandhi in the capital which is going to polls on November 29.

Nominees from other nearby constituencies will attend the rally besides Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and other party MPs.

Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi has already addressed an election rally in Mongolpuri.
