Jamaat-e-Islami to file petition against MusharrafKarachi, Mar. 20 : Pakistan's Jamaat-e-Islami party has decided to file a petition against former Pakistan President General (r) Pervez Musharraf over the Lal-Masjid operation, and ongoing army operation in tribal areas of the country.

JeI leader Asadullah Bhutto told The Nation that the Central Shoora of party would decide the future course of action about to file the petition against Musharraf, and the party has not finalized its strategy so far.

In an exclusive interview with Waqt News, Sharif said: "We sincerely backed the PPP and Zardari, but they stabbed us in the back. I was got disqualified from those courts which aren't even accepted by the people."

Musharraf was ready to name Benazir as PMLahore, Mar. 10: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed has claimed that former president Pervez Musharraf was ready to name Benazir Bhutto the prime minister for the third time.

According to a private TV channel, Rasheed said Benazir was in contact with Musharraf prior to the signing the Charter of Democracy.

"The long march does not remain in the lawyers' hand now, as the politicians have joined the show," the Daily Times quoted him, as saying.

Musharraf returns to Pakistan

Musharraf returns to PakistanNew Delhi, Mar 9 : Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, who was in a four-day visit to India, returned to Pakistan on Monday.

Just before his departure he paid a visit to the historic Qutab Minar here.

During his visit, Musharraf Called for enhancing people-to-people contacts between New Delhi and Islamabad to boost bilateral trade and economy. He also said economic integration would play a major role in achieving progress and well-being for both countries and other parts of the world.
