London, Jan 27 : For Kate Winslet, this year's awards season is the time to let herself go - and so she has ditched exercise and dieting.

Speaking on the red carpet of the SAG awards in Los Angeles, the `Titanic' beauty said that she just wants to enjoy the glam ceremonies, which means eating what she wants.

"I did decide that I was going to be easy on myself so I''m not exercising at all, and I''m eating whatever I like," The Telegraph quoted the actress as telling People.

Washington, Jan 27 (ANI): Kate Winslet and hubby Sam Mendes avoid flying on the same airplane because they fear that a crash would leave their children orphaned.

The star couple was left traumatised after Mendes was originally due to fly on a plane that was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.

All 64 passengers and 125 people in the U. S. government building in Washington D. C. were killed - but Mendes had changed his plans and hadn''t boarded the aircraft, reports Contactmusic.

Winslet endured a similar scare just a month later.

Washington, Jan 26: Heath Ledger, Kate Winslet and Slumdog Millionaire shone again at the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Ledger, who died form an accidental prescription drug overdose on January 22 last year, won yet another posthumous award for his role in The Dark Knight.

The SAG award for the best supporting actor was accepted by his co-star Gary Oldman on his behalf.

Kate Winslet bagged the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for `The Reader'.

Washington, Jan 22: Kate Winslet's director husband Sam Mendes' theatre work has been slammed in a new tell-all book by a Broadway legend.

Tony-winning playwright Arthur Laurents has lashed out at the `Revolutionary Road' director for his 2003 Broadway revival of Gypsy, starring Bernadette Peters, reports Contactmusic.

Laurents writes in his new memoir, Mainly on Directing: "''Surprised'' was not the word for my reaction to what Sam Mendes did. ''Surprised'' is a happy word."
